Job Title: Senior Interior Designer                  
Location: Kenilworth, England
Job Type: 12 months fixed term contract (Maternity cover)
Package: - £35,000 - £40,000 + Benefits Package

Overview:
Our client is actively looking for an Interior Designer with a good eye for design and someone who has exceptional attention to detail. This position will suit a designer who pick up an established brand quickly, check drawings to ensure consistency.

Based South of Coventry, just off the A46, this small but highly regarded interior design studio offers a comprehensive design service, from concept planning to procurement and installation. Providing a highly tailored, personal service by working closely with clients and recognising each project is unique.

Responsibilities:
  • Check Feasibility, liaise with Tech & brief Designer on changes, where required.
  • Ensure all site-specific items, non-standard design, impact on costs is noted.
  • Carry out interim check on spatial layout.
  • Check schematic, liaise with Tech & brief Designer on changes, where required.
  • Site plan & the external furniture layout is designed on a site per site basis.
  • Review & provide design input in line with our clients’ guidelines.
  • Check Full pack & brief Designer on changes, where required.
  • Ensure all site-specific items, non-standard design, which impact on costs are noted.
  • Check as built drawing pack & brief designer where required.

What do I need?
  • Knowledge of other programmes such as Photoshop & Acrobat
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Lateral thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask & strong time management skills 
  • To work efficiently within a team on brand roll out programmes
  • Ability to analyse and problem-solve, adapting existing concepts into different non-standard sites
  • Attention to detail and consistency in drawing work, to produce high quality drawings
  • To work well as part of a team and also independently
  • To thrive in a fast-paced environment, working to tight deadlines with a great attitude.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Lateral thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask & strong time management skills 
  • To work efficiently within a team on brand roll out programmes
  • Proficiency in Autocad 
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign, in collating presentation documents such as Design guides
  • Knowledge of other programmes such as Photoshop & Acrobat
